Well it was a mad rush to try and get this issue (number 5!) of our Weekly Round-Up out on time (at least before the end of the week anyway!). Please forgive any typo’s, errors and other cock-ups…
New boot of the week: Nike Fast AF pack
There doesn’t seem to be a week go by these days without the launch of a new colourway or ‘pack’. Back in the day brands launched their range of new boots for the season ahead in the summer. Now it feels like a new pack is released every month…possibly even more frequently.
This week saw the launch of the Nike AF pack across the Hypervenom, Magista and Tiempo silos. All 3 ranges have been reworked in an understated charcoal grey with Total Orange flashes

Image of the week:
Just look at this early 1980’s shot of Paulo Roberto Falcão from his days at AS Roma. There’s just so much right about this image – the kit, the ball, the hair, the Collisseum in the back ground…we love it!
eBay finds of the week
Nothing this week as we’ve been too busy with other stuff to scour eBay!
Pick-ups of the week
- Nike Footwear Catalogue – Fall 1999

- Nike Footwear Catalogue – Fall 2001

- Nike Footwear Catalogue – Spring 2003

In the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some more detailed pics/scans from each of these catalogues so stay tuned!
This weeks other worthy mentions:
- Sky’s coverage of the transfer deadline day – Jim White once again donned his yellow tie and his female co-presenters were bedecked in matching yellow dresses. As always, we were sucked in to watching right to the dramatic ‘slamming shut’ of the window and once again it was all a bit uneventful for our teams and a bit of an anticlimax…
- West Bromwich Albion will wear specially embroidered shirts this weekend to commemorate the passing of Cyrille Regis. These will be auctioned off after the game to raise funds for charity.
- The Gentleman Ultra website has put together their top 10 Azzurri kits of all time – not sure we quite agree with all 10 or the placing of some but it’s definitely worth a read.
