We realise that our first weekly round-up was published earlier this week but we’re sticking this one up now as this (Thursday) is likely to be the regular publication day for all future issues of the Round Up.
New boot of the week: Nike Premier II – £90 from ProDirectSoccer
The Nike Premier II is an update of the stunning Nike Premier released in 2013. Based on the iconic Nike Tiempo Premier the Premier II features super soft kangaroo leather and a fold over tongue. The Racer Blue/White colourway shown here is exclusive to ProDirectSoccer

Like many boots these days the Premier II is also available in other colourways:
University Red/White and White/Racer Blue

Or for the more traditionally minded amongst us… Black/White, Black/Black and Black Gamma Blue, Black/Orange and our personal favourite Black/Volt – all of which are available from ProDirectSoccer at various prices.

Vintage boot of the week: Lotto Stadio

Another long time favourite of us here at The Boot Room and one that we constantly search for. Unfortunately Lotto have decided to completely redesign the Stadio and to be honest its not a patch on its predecessor that was favoured by many pro’s including Ruud Gullit and Gheorghe Hagi. Not seen as commonly on this side of the Channel the Stadio’s always exuded continental flair. If anyone ever comes across these in UK11 or above then give us a shout please!

Vintage shirt of the week – 1985-86 Everton Le Coq Sportif away shirt – £25.00 Buy It Now
Quite how this shirt from the days of Kevin Ratcliffe, Derek Mountfield and Adrian ‘Inchy’ Heath, hasn’t been snapped up yet is beyond us but hey, that’s how it goes on eBay sometimes…
Bargain of the week – adidas Nemeziz 17.1 FG – RRP £219.95 Now £100.00
This is a worthwhile 55% saving off the RRP of the original colourway of the Nemeziz – good size availability (at time of writing!) from The GAA Store
Video of the week – Gazza
The return of the mercurial Paul Gascoigne to twitter brought a smile to our faces and had us diving into YouTube to remind us just how much of a talent Gazza was. Here’s hoping he stays fit and well this time.
Image of the week:
Marcello Lippi in his Sampdoria playing days – just look at that shirt – the rich royal blue , the iconic striping detail across the chest, stunning simplistic badge placed centrally, polo shirt style placket and collars and not a sponsor or manufacturers logo to be seen – BEAUTIFUL or rather BELLISIMO!
eBay find of the week – Vintage Subbuteo catalogues
These mid 1970’s Subbuteo catalogues that fold out to show all the teams available look great framed. There are usually plenty available on eBay at decent prices (between £3-£10)
Pick-ups of the week – As we’re still feeling the pinch after our Xmas and New Year excesses our pickups have been a little light this week…
- Resubscribed to the excellent Mundial magazine for another 4 issues
This weeks worthy mentions:
- This tweet from @EdNeilHiggs made us smile
- Real Sociedad have announced that as of next season they’ll be switching kit suppliers from adidas to Macron – looks like we may soon be seeing a load of Sociedad gear in the ClassicFootballShirts clearance section – the home shirt is a beuty. Don’t forget to enter code CFSPJ10 to save an extra 10% on your next order!
- UNAM Pumas of Mexico announced their new kit – we’ve always had a soft spot for their puma face chest logo and this kit doesn’t disappoint
